The President of the Hungarian Wine and Pálinka Association visited our club

The head of the Hungarian Wine and Pálinka Association in Japan, Mrs. Azuma Takae, visited our club.

The main purpose of Mrs. Azuma's visit to Hungary was to start her 30-year-old son's 5-month apprenticeship in a winery on Lake Balaton. Mrs. Azuma has been running a Hungarian restaurant in Tokyo for 25 years, which her son will continue to run, and is building up her practical knowledge of Hungarian wines for this purpose.

The president also told us about this year's Hungarian Festival in Tokyo, which was attended by more than 10,000 interested people.

We talked about the possibilities of deepening Hungarian-Japanese relations. In September, several association members - including individual entrepreneurs and heads of small companies dealing with Hungarian products - will visit Hungary to participate in the Wine Festival, which will be held in Buda Castle, among other places.
Our club offered to facilitate connections with other companies and artists during the September visit.

We were pleased to hear about the development of Ms. Azuma's family business, and also that more and more people are interested in our country, and that in addition to economic relations, cultural ties are also becoming increasingly important for the people of the two countries.
